Ziegler rug designs are now well-established within the rug trade. The patterns are strongly linked to the original William Morris designs, which were taken to the East collaboratively by the Ziegler Company based in Manchester and directly linked to William Morris. The designs are just one aspect of this style of carpet, more importantly is the soft subtle colour of the natural dyed wool which when crafted is washed and scrubbed to remove excess dyes producing a soft almost faded colour palette which works very well in Western home. The rugs, carpets and runners are produced with the Ziegler design and finish in many sizes.
